Isla Trahan

Isla is Robert stone's daughter and she grew up in the village of Aboyne close to the final resting place of Thomas and Josephine.​

 

Thomas Roberts and his wife Josephine - whose story lies at the heart of our documentary about the Takoradi Run - are laid to rest in Aboyne Cemetary in a peaceful location surrounded by woodland.

Thomas lived the last few years of his life in Alastean House on the outskirts of Balmoral Estate in Royal Deeside.​

Isla's mother was an exceptional jazz singer and Isla shared her mother's love of music from a young age. This led Isla to study music academically and she is an accomplished singer and pianist​.

Isla's vocals can be heard on the soundtrack of the Tiny Josephine animation trailer, which will be expanded in the future to an animation series for younger followers of the Project Josephine story. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Her tiny angel accompanied her to the studio during the recording in Tileyard London.

 

​Isla works as a Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor and lives in Edinburgh.  Prior to moving to Edinburgh, Isla lived in Borneo for three years. She returned home to Scotland with a rescued Basenji dog she named Bonnie.

​

​​​​Recently she set up her own eco-friendly jewellery business, inspired by her time in Borneo, which she named after her rescue dog.
