The Tiny Angel Productions Story

Meeting Yoseph Gettu for the first time through The Tiny Angel Company (more to be revealed here in due course) was the starting point for Tiny Angel Productions.

During a general conversation about life, Yoseph spoke about the large shopping complex he and his brother were planning to build in Addis Ababa. The complex included shops, restaurants, residential apartments... and a cinema.
The discussion led to a chat about making animation films based on traditional Ethiopian folktales along with several other ideas (some already written down and characterised).
There was also talk of making a documentary about King Tewodros II and a documentary (and feature film) based on a true story from WWII, which took place in Africa in 1941.

The conversation ended with the statement, 'Wouldn't it be great to see films that we produced running in the cinema you built?'

And so Tiny Angel Productions was born.

The first documentary chosen for development was the WWII survival story.

On reflection, this was not the easiest place to start. What followed were years of

Births, marriages, deaths, covid - everything happened along the way following that first (half-joking) decision to start a production company.
But here we are, many years later, ready to fly and excited to embark on the next stage with you.
