Thomas's Takoradi Story
To understand the story of the Takoradi Run, and the crews who flew it, our expedition team will attempt to retrace Thomas's footsteps.
The team will use the first-hand accounts recorded in his fiancée Josephine's journal to pick up his story where - after a short period of training with the RAF at an English base - he left the United Kingdom for this secret mission in Ghana.

They will examine the events surrounding the crash of the Blenheim and Thomas's eventual dramatic rescue and return home to Scotland after a period recuperating in hospital in Takoradi.
